Organic light emitting diodes and organic solar cells are considered to exhibit a great potential in the product development of novel solar power, lower power consumption display und lighting technologies. cynora's main acitivity is in developing new, cheap materials for such applications to reach new mass markets. The company is located at the High-Tech-Incubator at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology’s northern campus near Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen.
