cynora GmbH
cynora is a young, research-based enterprise working mostly in the field of organic electronics.
We come with several years of experience in the synthesis of materials for organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) and organic photovoltaics (OPV) and the processing of those substances.
With its state-of-the-art laboratories at the northern campus of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), cynora is situated right in the centre of one of the leading Technology areas in Europe: the TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe. The KIT represents the cooperation between the University Karlsruhe and the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe.

Who we are: cynora's history
cynora is a spin-off originating from the RWTH Aachen. Since April 2008 the company is managed by Dr. Thomas Baumann and Dr. Tobias Grab.
To further increase close collaboration with leading research groups of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT, cynora moved into its newly founded High-tech Incubator at KIT's northern campus.

What we do: Printed Electronics
Organic light emitting diodes (OLED) and organic solar cells (OSC) are considered to exhibit a great potential in the product development of novel solar power, lower power consumption display und lighting technologies. cynora's main acitivity is in developing new, cheap materials for such applications to reach new mass markets.

Welcome to Karlsruhe: In the beautiful south-western germany lies the city of Karlsruhe, founded 1715. Not only does it host the Federal Constitutional Court and one of germany's most renowned universities KIT, but also many high-tech-companies.
